Nicola Pugh

Nicola has worked in the renewables sector since 2004, her first role being that of Project Officer within the Government’s Community Renewables Initiative (CRI) for the Yorkshire and Humber region. Her role with the CRI was to help stimulate community action on renewable energy. This involved building grassroots awareness of renewable energy technologies and supporting communities to develop and fund their own renewable energy projects.

When the CRI merged with Microgeneration Yorkshire (MY), an RDA funded regional support programme for renewable energy, Nicola continued to work closely with communities but her role expanded to include market development and capacity building activities designed to stimulate the uptake of low carbon technologies across the region.

Working for CWP as our Associate, Nicola has utilised her knowledge and expertise in renewable energy project planning and permitting, UK policy and legislation, market intelligence and communications in support of our customers.  Nicola has particular expertise in developing planning applications for wind energy developments, assessing the financial feasibility of renewable energy projects and advising on the regulatory and subsidy frameworks pertinent to Waste to Energy/Biomass heat and power generating stations.
